About
As a Mexican-American artist originally from Southern California and currently living in Seattle, Washington, my work explores the intersection of organic and geometric forms. I am drawn to the rhythm and fluidness of lines as they intertwine and intersect, mirroring the patterns created by water pulling away from the land.
Through photography, I capture the watermarks left on the sand as the tide retracts into the ocean. I use these photos as a reference to paint and draw delicate, intricate lines. I often use a palette of warm, bright pastel colors, and I love experimenting with surface tension by pushing my brushstrokes to the very edges of my panels. I graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2018 with a BA in Studio Art with Honors in painting.
